Visitors from Denmark, Sweden and Spain may attend the christening April 17.
The Royal Court announced Norwegian Princess godparents Monday afternoon.
King Harald of Norway, Crown Prince Fredrik of Denmark and Crown Princess
Victoria of Sweden are going to be godparents to the Norwegian Princess. The
remaining three are Crown Prince Felipe of Spain, Princess Märtha Louise
(Princess Ingrid's aunt), and the princess’ grandmother, Marit Tjessem, the
only godparent who is not of royal birth.

Who of the godparents who will be attending the actual christening will not
be announced until the official guest list is made public Thursday. The
Danish Royal Family has already declined the invitation to attend the
ceremony.
Crown Prince Fredrik was Crown Prince Haakon's best man when he married
Crown Princess Mette-Marit. Both Mette-Marit’s father, Sven O. Høiby, and
Princess Ragnhild of Norway are allegedly invited to the christening.
The Norwegian Royal Family has spent their Easter vacation by the
Mediterranean, in stead of vacationing in the mountains, like they normally
do. The Royal Family returned from their vacation Monday.
Princesse
Ingrid Alexandra was born at Rikshospitalet in Oslo, January 21 of this
year. She is the first born child to Crown Prince Haakon and Crown
Princess Mette-Marit. The Princess will be christened in Slottskapellet in
Oslo, April 17, at noon.
When Crown Prince Haakon Magnus was christened, he had six godparents, all
of them of royal blood. They were King Olav of Norway, Queen Margrethe of
Denmark, King Carl Gustaf of Sweden, Princess Astrid of Norway, Mrs. Ferner,
Princess Anne of the United Kingdom, and Uncle «Mulle», Prince Carl
Bernadotte of Sweden.
